Connecting Marketplaces

Compass monitors your connected marketplaces to detect pricing changes, inventory risks, demand shifts, and competitive activity. The more stores you connect, the more complete your picture becomes.

Supported Platforms

Compass supports a growing list of marketplace platforms including:

  • Amazon (US, CA, UK, EU)
  • Shopify
  • eBay
  • Walmart Marketplace
  • WooCommerce
  • Etsy
  • And more

Check the Available Integrations section on the Marketplaces page for the current list.

Connecting a New Store

  1. Navigate to Marketplaces in the left sidebar
  2. Click Add Store in the top right
  3. Select the marketplace platform
  4. Enter a name for the connection (e.g., "Amazon US - Main Account")
  5. Provide the required details (Store ID, API credentials, etc.)
  6. Click Connect

Once connected, the store appears in your Connected Stores list with a "Monitoring" badge.

Managing Connected Stores

Viewing Store Details

Each connected store card shows:

  • Store name
  • Platform type
  • Monitoring status (Active or Paused)
  • Store ID (if applicable)

Pausing Monitoring

If you need to temporarily stop monitoring a store (e.g., during account transitions), you can pause it without disconnecting. Paused stores won't generate new signals until resumed.

Removing a Store

If you no longer sell on a platform, you can disconnect the store. This stops all monitoring and data collection for that channel.

Multi-Store Strategy

If you sell across multiple marketplaces:

  • Connect all of them. Compass works best when it has the full picture of your business.
  • Use the Store Selector on Analytics, Forecasts, and Signals pages to filter data by store.
  • Compare performance across stores using the Analytics page's Performance by Store section.
  • Watch for cross-platform signals — a pricing change on Amazon may affect your Walmart sales too.

Troubleshooting Connections

Store shows "Paused" unexpectedly

Check that your API credentials are still valid. Some platforms rotate tokens periodically.

No data appearing for a connected store

Data collection may take up to an hour after initial connection. If data still hasn't appeared after 24 hours, verify the Store ID and reconnect.

Connection errors

Ensure your marketplace account is in good standing and that the API access hasn't been revoked.
