Versioning
How we version ODI/ODIP definitions, documents, and platform capabilities.
Veratix Compass is built in public. To make that practical, we version the ODI/ODIP model and its supporting documents so teams can reference a stable definition at any point in time.
What gets versioned
- The ODI principles and terminology
- The ODIP platform layers, components, and interfaces
- Public-facing documents (whitepapers, glossary)
SemVer, interpreted
- Major — breaking conceptual change (rare)
- Minor — additive definitions, new layers, clarified scope
- Patch — corrections, typos, small clarifications
